 Professional Development

IMC KC is developing Professional Development Courses that will enhance the leadership skills, marketing tools, the challenges in running a consulting business and other topic issues.  These short courses will be available by the fall of this year and open to members and non-members.  We are soliciting volunteers to showcase their expertise by facilitating these highly interactive workshops.  We are also soliciting volunteers that would like to develop and/or contribute course materials.

 LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Welcome to the inaugural issue of the IMC-KC GAZETTE.  This Bi-Monthly e-newsletter will connect you to the consulting profession and the activities & benefits of the Kansas City Chapter of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMCUSA).  We hope you find everything you need to Get Smart, Get Known and Get Business, whether you are a member, aspiring consultant, or community member.

For those who are familiar with our Chapter of late, you are aware that we have been working to refocus the chapter to meet the current needs of the consulting professionals and the business community we serve.  Our efforts to revitalize the Chapter are producing fruit:

·  We have surveyed local consulting professionals (members & non-members) to find out what they want from the chapter.  Our new programs and benefits reflect what we heard that will create value for you and your business.
·  We have exciting new educational programs to keep us current and competitive.
·  We are introducing a new meeting format to increase attendee participation and learning. Our Roundtable Forum will encourage more networking & collaboration.
·  We started a Mentoring Initiative to not only help each other grow professionally, but to also increase the fellowship within our profession while developing Leaders within our community.
·  We have added valuable new benefits to make it easier for you to connect with one another and potential clients.
·  We have solicited several seasoned members to help refocus the chapter.  Your new board members have an average of 20 years of consulting experience and 70% are Certified Management Consultants (CMC).

Please do not hesitate to contact either me or any of the outstanding IMC KC Board members to let us know how we can help you “Get Smart, Get Known, and Get Business!”

Sincerely,
Michael Wheeler CMC®
