 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

IMC KC is developing Professional Development Courses that will enhance the leadership skills, marketing tools, the challenges in running a consulting business and other topic issues.  These short courses will be available later this year and open to members and non-members.  We are soliciting volunteers to showcase their expertise by facilitating these highly interactive workshops.  We are also soliciting volunteers that would like to develop and/or contribute course materials.

 A NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Things are moving forward for the IMC KC Chapter.  We are getting good attendance and participation at the monthly Roundtable meetings and the IMC-KC GAZETTE is getting excellent reviews from our chapter members and friends.  Look for future events as we continue to develop ways to achieve our aim in providing everything you need to Get Smart, Get Known and Get Business, whether you are a member, aspiring consultant, or community member.

On behalf of the Board, I invite you to join us in achieving our vision for the Chapter:

First, we are a “community of consultants”.  IMC KC provides a rich environment where we can come together to share our experiences and knowledge.  We provide an atmosphere that is mutually supportive, encourages collaboration, and provides continuous learning so that we can better serve our clients in a professional and ethical manner.  We do this by coming together at monthly meetings and special events, and participating in our Mentoring Initiative.

Second, we provide valuable learning opportunities.  IMC KC continues to provide expert speakers and experiences specifically chosen to address our members’ requests.  We provide relevant educational programs for consultants, as well as advice on running a successful business.

Third, we are a valued resource for our community.  We provide leadership and are recognized as the “go-to” resource for the consulting, media and business communities.  We are creating alliances with other organizations and reaching out to the media and non-profit sectors.

We hope you will join us in making our vision a reality.  With your support, we will create a quality organization that will enrich both you, your business, and our community.

Sincerely,
Michael Wheeler CMC®
